The Flight Competition will be run as follows
Cadet Smartness – There
will be four marked inspections per month with a maximum score of 40 point per
inspection. Each Cadet’s individual totals are added together for the Flight
Competition. Each Cadet’s individual average score is taken for the Smartness
Shield.
Cadet Reliability –
Each Cadet will gain 40 points for each time they put their name down for an
activity and turn up. Each Cadet’s individual totals are added together for the
Flight Competition. Each Cadet’s individual total is taken for the Reliability
Shield as long as the Cadet has attended at least ⅓ of all non parade night
activities. If there is a draw the Cadet who has the least non attendances will
win.
Hut Cleaning –
See Hut Cleaning sheet. (100 points will be
awarded to the Flight who wins each nightly cleaning competition. The
nightly competition will be mark in the normal way.)
Extra Attendances
– 40 points per Cadet per attendance. For
activities starting before 1000 hours non attendances must be advised by
1000 hours on the day the activity starts. For activities starting after
1000 hours non attendances must be advised within 2 hours of the start time.
Non attendance can be advised by a leave slip, e-mailed the web page or
telephoned the Squadron.

Compulsory Events - There are
four compulsory events each year they are:- Squadron Activities Day (SAD) in
February, Wing Activities Day (WAD) in June, Battle or Britain Parade
in September and Remembrance Day Parade in November. Every enrolled cadet is
expected to attend (however Leave can only be granted in the form of a leave
Slip signed by the CO) for Attendance 100 points will be awarded, for leave
50 points and none for absenteeism. If however you had been granted leave
for the preceding compulsory event, Leave will not be granted for the
following compulsory event. If you were absent for the preceding compulsory
event then you will gain no points for attendance at the next event. Cadets
that were absent may be refused attendance for Flying, Gliding, DoE
expeditions and other events at the CO's discretion
Parade Attendances
– Each Cadet will gain 40 Points for every
attendance or if they have put in a leave slip, e-mailed the web page or
telephoned the Squadron by 2000 hours will get 20 points
Evening Exercise
Kit Check – Maximum of 40 points for complete kit
with 5 pints being lot for each item missing.
The ‘Four Monthly Cup’ will be awarded for up to the end of March, July and
November.
The ‘Annual Cup’ will be awarded for up to the end of November.
Cadets can be moved between flights if one Flight is becoming dominant or the
numbers unequal. Moves will only happen at the end of March, July and November.
