Becoming a first class cadet involves having
a basic understanding of a wide range of some interesting, and some not (lets
face it) Subjects.
The History of the ATC
The History of the RAF
Initial Expedition Training
Airmanship
No8 .22 Target Rifle
Map Reading
Radio Communications
Drill
First Aid
Having the knowledge of these subjects
enables you to do most things a cadet can do – go flying, various different
camps and a whole host of other things. In doing these first steps, you will be
able to enjoy cadets a lot more, and it will give you some freedom of choice in
what you do.
When you have been taught and passed a simple
assessment of all 10 subjects you will be awarded the first class badge, these
assessments are set by you instructors and are marked at the squadron
